Protecting the “Queen Bee” in your business
This is the time of year where you’re in the messy middle of clarity when it comes to the work you’re doing in the world.
You may be…
… prepping for your last launch of the year.
… booking your last few spots for clients to reach your revenue goals.
… slowing down your day to day operations, so you can be present for the holidays.
… questioning if you’re doing enough (or if you’re even on the right path).
I get it.
Last week with my business coach, Pat Flynn, I had an a-ha moment of clarity. I had written on sticky notes what I wanted to talk about to get strategic input. It was all about online traffic, funnels, free opt-ins, passive income.
I also wrote on one sticky note what I really want to be doing. It wasn’t a question, just a declaration. And at the beginning of my coaching call before I went into my “strategic” question, I said, “This is what I want to be doing.”
And instead of getting to my “strategic” question, we mapped out a plan and prioritized action steps to make what I really want to be doing happen now instead of later.
At the end of the call, I said this is what I was going to get your input on first.
And he said, “Wow. This call would have gone in a really different direction.”
For me, I was looking for permission to do the work my soul is calling me to do next. Whenever I try to make money because it seems like the smart way to make it, there’s never enough energy and heart to fuel it.
So my questions for you…
What project are you trying to push to the finish line that doesn’t have any of your heart and soul in it?
What do you really want to be doing?
The soul of your business is what you want to pour the majority of your time into. You want to protect it to make sure it happens and not get distracted from what fuels you and your business growth.
Mike Michalowicz calls this the Queen Bee Role aka The QBR. We go deeper into this conversation in today’s podcast.
Are you ready to increase your financial health, empower your team, and create work from your soul? If you believe money is a form of freedom, but is not the end game, then episode 139 of the Lead with Love podcast is for you.
I get cozy with Mike Michalowicz who is the entrepreneur behind three multimillion dollar companies, which he launched before his 35th birthday. Mike sold his first company to private equity and his second firm to a Fortune 500.
