Are you craving more in-person connection?
2023 is all about more in-person connection for me.
I have loooooooved being in my cozy Creative Cocoon for these past few years. It has allowed me to process grief, create space to heal, and write and publish my book. But it is time for me to emerge and be with people face-to-face, heart-to-heart.
She Builds has been out in the wild for over three months. And she's so extroverted! It’s been such an amazing experience to see firsthand the impact that my book is making in people’s lives.
Today, I'll do a round-up of some recent events and share some opportunities to meet me in person in Palm Springs and the Bay Area this month.
Business Panel at Meri Cherry Art Studio | February 9
In celebration of She Builds, my friend and long-time client, Meri Cherry, hosted a women-in-business panel at her art studio in Los Angeles.
The room was buzzing with excitement and positive energy. The all-female business panel, moderated by my past client and CoCreate Work founder La’Kita Williams, consisted of Meri Cherry, Monica J. Sutton, and me.
We talked about what it means to build without the 24/7 hustle and grind. Women came from all over to be in that room. Someone even flew in from Austin to meet me in person. You can watch a 2-minute video clip from the event here (Thank you Tony Sutton for capturing the magic!).
Femmefluence Forum with Jennifer Kem | February 25
I celebrated Jennifer “Jen” Kem's birthday at her Femmefluence Forum in Berkeley, California. The event was EPIC with 75 world-changing women. I read a poem from She Builds and then signed books after.
At Jen's event, I also met URL friends for the first time that have been guests on my podcast, like AJ Harper and Pam Slim.
Special bonus: Nikki Elledge Brown and I shared a hotel room for the Femmefluence event. And after almost a decade of friendship, Nikki met my family for the first time IRL! George and Zoe joined us for dinner at Zachary's, our favorite deep-dish pizza spot. 🍕
Speaking of in-person gatherings… I’m excited to celebrate that The Big Book Deal Retreat that I’m co-hosting with Jen in June is SOLD OUT! And some of my favorite people and clients will be there with us in Florence, Italy.
My 1:1 client roster is full, too. I helped one client create a new offering to diversify her brick-and-mortar business and she brought in $25,000 in new revenue in 30 days! Another client I have supported in sharing her heart work with her community led to a six-figure launch in two months with a whole lot of joy, sacred boundaries, and purpose.
My team and I are working on my newest offering which will definitely include in-person events and retreats. If you're a Creative CEO/Founder who wants to scale your business without hustling or burnout, #StayTuned.
We need connection. We need each other. As one of my favorite African Proverbs says, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
Alt Summit in Palm Springs | March 12 – 15, 2023
Are you craving a deeper connection with a community of people who get you?
If you're craving more inspiration from like-minded creatives just like you, then join me in Palm Springs or Walnut Creek, California this month.
Alt Summit is THE conference where thousands of creative entrepreneurs and influencers gather. And I’m so, so honored to be a speaker.
I’ll be talking about Detoxing from Hustle Culture and will teach a more sustainable and inclusive way of growing your creative venture to help you avoid overwhelm, exhaustion, and burnout.
If you’re over Zoom, like me, and want to connect and be a part of the energy in a room, let’s meet up!
Alt Summit is “not a competition or a chance to boast, it’s all about learning from each other, helping each other, and cheering each other on.”
Book Event at Barnes & Noble | March 25, 2023
Want a signed copy of She Builds? Meet me at my neighborhood Barnes & Noble in Walnut Creek, California! Our downtown area is so cute (less than a 5-minute walk away from Rooted a vegan coffeeshop, Slice House Pizza, Shake Shack, and more!).
In celebration of Women’s History Month, meet me at Barnes and Noble (1192 Locust St, Walnut Creek, CA 94596) on March 25th from 2pm – 4pm for a short reading and book signing event. Bring your copy of She Builds or purchase one on the spot for yourself or a friend. I’d love to meet you in person! Reach out to me at hello@jadahsellner.com and let me know if you're coming.
I hope we have an opportunity to connect in person soon. I’m a social introvert who loves to hug, so I'll definitely squeeze you if we do meet!
Warm hugs,
