You deserve to

love your life

Willing to FAIL with a mighty purpose

Have you ever tried to reframe rejection like this:

“Accept rejection as a grand indication that you’re trying.”

I know, it can be hard to see rejection as a good thing. We think:

– Why was I not good enough?
– Why do I deserve this?
– Am I not worthy?

But we rarely stop to ask:

– What if this isn't big enough for me?
– What if I deserve even more than this?
– What if this is teaching me about what's not aligned?

I remember when I applied to speak at SXSW. I took the time to write a speaking proposal and upload videos of me speaking.

I did not get accepted.

But what happened because I put myself out there was unexpected. One of the people reviewing the submissions ran another conference called BlogHer and invited me to speak there three times!

I got to speak on panels with Tara Mohr, author of Playing Big, and Rachel Hollis, author of Girl Wash Your Face.

So from one rejection, I received many opportunities to speak on stages even if it wasn’t the one I originally planned for or in the timeline I expected.

Are you willing to put yourself out there even if you might get rejected? Can you trust the process?

We’re such a results driven culture that we don’t celebrate when we fall and fail our way forward.

That’s why I love my most recent Lead with Love podcast guest. She’s willing to fail in front of everyone because she believes in her mission so much.

In this episode, I get cozy with my client, internationally acclaimed early childhood education specialist Sally Haughey.

We talk passionately about education, honoring the whole child, and the parallels in how we learn as entrepreneurs.

Willing to Fail with a Mighty Purpose

I'm willing to fail fully in front of everyone. I would rather try and fail miserably than wait for the right moment.
