You deserve to

love your life

Behind the scenes of my next book!

I hope you’re finding the space to pause and slow down even in the flurry of life and the constant unexpected detours from 2020.

I know this time of year can bring up so many feelings, from gratitude to grief, especially if you can't be near family the way you're used to.

I know some of us are on the verge of burnout and want to burn it all down. And some of us are on the edge of building our next body of work. And some of us (me included are doing a little bit of both… burning + building). 😊

I’ve still been able to find hope and joy and grace between all of the heartbreak and loss this year by pouring my creative energy into heart projects versus cash projects. Projects that light my soul on fire and feel like an expression of who I am and an expansion of what I’m stepping into next.

Behind the scenes I’ve finally worked on dreams that I’ve been talking about like a broken record for over three years. Do you have any of those? What have you created, built, worked on this year that maybe you would not have had the time or capacity before March of this year?

One of my heart projects has been my next book. My literary agent started sharing my book proposal last week, and now we’re scheduling calls with publishers who are interested in my book to make this dream a reality. #pinchme

To catch you up, I went into a deep conversation with my friend and book coach, Azul, to share the frustration and FOMO I experienced by putting my book down in 2019, and then how I was able to pick it back up this year and get to the finish line.

#BTS: Behind the Scenes of My Next Book Part 2

“Any book that's worthy of a transformation on the part of the reader has to occur at some point within the author.”

– AZUL TERRONEZ

Azul helps authors, entrepreneurs and leaders write and publish books that people love, so they can reach more people, grow their brand, and share their message in an authentic way. He’s been called a book whisperer. His signature coaching program is built around the idea that creating books is about building the conversation that you want to own.

Azul walks his talk because his TEDx talk “What Makes a Good Teacher Great” has been viewed over 2.1 million times. Azul’s clients have included Wall Street Bestseller, Pat Flynn from the Smart Passive Income Podcast, Jadah Sellner co-founder Simple Green Smoothies (that’s me!) and Dana Malstaff the founder of Boss-mom.

What you'll hear (and don't want to miss!):

  • A surprise that can happen when you look at writing a book as a creative process, and not just a task to achieve
  • Why the content isn’t the book – and what really is
  • How becoming an author is different, and so much more, than just writing a book
  • The role that my season of loss and grief has played in the writing of my next book
  • An update on where I am right now writing the upcoming book, and the big decision and shift I made to allow it to be happen
  • What Azul says is needed in all books, but is often misunderstood by many authors
