Serve first and the money will follow with Pat Flynn

Wow, so surreal to have Pat Flynn on this week’s episode of Lead with Love. Pat is a father, husband, entrepreneur and host of the Smart Passive Income and AskPat podcasts, which have earned a combined total of over 50 million downloads, multiple awards, and features in publications such as The New York Times and Forbes.

I’ve learned so much from Pat — his online products were catalysts for one of my first major wins with Simple Green Smoothies and for sharing my voice with the world today.

I first discovered Pat and Smart Passive Income in 2011 when I was just learning and diving into online marketing. I downloaded his e-book, E-books the Smart Way, which was all about selling an e-book.

I didn’t take action right away, but once I did, it was the inspiration that my friend Jen Hansard and I needed to write our first Simple Green Smoothies e-book. Writing that e-book was a complete game changer for us in turning our heart project into a cash project where we could reinvest in the business and hire our very first team member.

I was a guest on Smart Passive Income back in 2016 and it’s all come full circle having him on my show. It was his Power Up Podcasting course that gave me the clarity + focus to get my podcast out into the world in just 6 weeks. If it wasn’t for that course, I’d still be drawing at the whiteboard.
