How (and why) I’m doing THIS differently.
I’m loving the vibrancy of spring energy.
It feels like we’ve thawed out of winter hibernation mode and stepped into a season of new growth and possibility.
Even with all the chaos and constant heartbreak in the world, I’m noticing from working with my clients that the helpers, healers, and community builders are thriving in business right now.
The people creating safe spaces for connection and celebration are deeply needed. They help us access our joy. And community is the medicine that will get us through these uncertain times.
A few things I’m celebrating from Quarter 1 of this year:

- I led a VIP Day at my studio with my client, Laney Schwartz of Life is But a Dish (who reached 100K+ followers on Instagram), and she brought her bestie, and my longtime client since 2017, Meri Cherry.
- 3 new private coaching and Collective clients are starting with me this month: a former CFO with a PhD, an art studio owner in North Carolina, and a published author in the parenting space. The thread that connects them is that they’re all building something meaningful and are in a season of expansion, but they don’t want growth to come at the cost of burnout.

- I spent a few days in Portland, Oregon, with two of my close friends, Michelle Young and Tamika Lewis. We masterminded about our businesses in pajamas and hot tubs, visited Michelle’s beautiful space, Her Sanctuary, thrift shopped, and enjoyed some delicious food trucks. One of the biggest takeaways from our time together was this: feed the feminine first.
- I got to spend spring break with Zoe while home from freshman year of college, which felt extra sweet after Zoe’s longest stretch away on campus. We explored the low tides in Half Moon Bay, wandered through Japantown in San Francisco for treats, watched the immersive light-and-sound AURA show at Grace Cathedral, and practiced driving now that Zoe has a driver’s permit.

- I enjoyed a 4-night couples getaway in Las Vegas with my husband of 20+ years. We plan intentional time away together throughout the year, and this trip was such a fun reminder that play matters, too. My friend + client La'Kita Williams and her husband joined us for a few lively nights, and somehow I found myself up past 7 a.m., fueled by music, dancing, and high vibes. No alcohol for me in over six years, just joy and connection.
- I also started meal planning and following through with consistent cooking on the days I said I would, which feels like a small but meaningful win. At 42, I’m realizing that tasty, plant- and protein-forward meals are essential for supporting my energy and my capacity. Fueling my body in this way helps me show up powerfully for my work and the women I serve.

- I’ve hosted 10 Sacred Business Circles over the last 12 months, welcoming 250+ women entrepreneurs into my studio for meaningful conversation and a community that goes far beyond surface-level networking.
Hosting Sacred Business Circle each month has become one of the most nourishing and profitable parts of my business.
I started these gatherings because I wanted to turn traditional networking on its head.
As a social introvert, I knew how awkward the usual biz dev events feel. Standing in a room full of strangers. Making small talk. Trying to summarize the heart of my work in a robotic elevator pitch. Nibbling on cheese and crackers.
And then leaving with a purse full of business cards that rarely lead anywhere deeper. Can you relate?
I wanted to nurture my community in a way that felt sustainable for me to host and genuinely exciting to lead. So I made it cozy.

At Sacred Business Circle, we gather at my studio, remove our shoes, pour tea, sit on the floor with blankets, meditate, journal, share what we do, and ask for what we need. Then we move into smaller groups where women can truly support one another in a real way.
I’ve designed these potent two hours for authentic connection, especially for women who are carrying a lot and know they need more support and accountability.
These are women building businesses, leading teams, making hard decisions, navigating change, and craving spaces where they don’t have to posture or prove they belong.
And after hosting 10 of these circles, I keep coming back to the same truth:
Community is medicine.
A space where you can slow down, exhale, and be witnessed.
I’d love to hear from you…
What are you celebrating from Q1, January through March?
What’s emerging or rising in your business as you step into the fresh momentum of spring?
And if you’ve been craving a more meaningful way to connect with other women entrepreneurs, I’d love to invite you to join us.
Our next Sacred Business Circles are on April 17, May 15, and June 19 at my studio in the San Francisco Bay Area. We sell out every month, so save your spot now.
I hope to see you in person soon!
Warm hugs,
