Think disruptively
I’m spending the week in Yosemite with my family. Since we decided to homeschool Zoe last month, our schedules feel so much lighter and flexible.
We were chasing the sunshine that peaked this past week in California, but the weather shifted to rain + snow. ⛄️
My daughter and I are doing the happy dance because we really want to see a fresh snowfall. My husband is not as excited to drive extra slow with snow chains. But we’re excited to take time to play as a family. We even plan on making vision boards by the fireplace!
How often do you take time off?
I believe it’s essential to step away from the day to day of your business and home responsibilities, especially if you want to stand out in the marketplace and disrupt the status quo. Give yourself the space to think and dream.
Innovation is fuel for your business.
That’s why I love the way my most recent guest on the Lead with Love podcast approaches taboo topics, innovation and disruption in business.
Learn how companies are built through conscious capitalism where everyone wins. If you’re ready to disrupt the status quo in how you build a company, then episode 151 of the Lead with Love podcast is for you.
In this episode, I get cozy with serial entrepreneur and author Miki Agrawal.
Think Disruptively
Miki co-founded THINX (www.shethinx.com), a high-tech, period-proof underwear brand and led the company as CEO to a valuation of over $150 Million, founded TUSHY (www.hellotushy.com), a company that is revolutionizing the American toilet category with a designer bidet attachment, and WILD, the acclaimed farm-to-table, alternative pizza concept with 3 locations in New York City, one in Guatemala and more on the way.
She’s written two books, her first book titled DO COOL SH*T and her most recent Disrupt-Her that just hit the shelves.
What you'll hear (and don't want to miss!):
- A reframe you can make around the concept of “failure”
- The lessons Miki learned by facing severe criticism by others
- How writing her latest book differed from the first and the concept of the “70/10/10/10” process
- What to consider if you’re looking to partner with others for corporate givebacks
- Why Miki believes that “conscious capitalism” is the future of business
- The ways she balances her business ambitions with her family life
