Confession…last Thursday was the first time I’ve ever interviewed anyone. Crazy, right?! I’m usually the one being asked the questions on other people's podcasts, but this time I got to play the role of the interviewer.
When was the last time you did something for the first time?
Listening and questioning is a real skill, and to have the genius, heart and soul that is Danielle LaPorte as my first guest, made it an extra special experience. She is a writer, spiritual seeker, speaker, poet, business maven, mama, muse to many, and a member of Oprah’s SuperSoul 100. I love the way she shows up in the world, standing in her truth and leading with heart.
Danielle keeps it real in our #WhiteHotTruth interview, Finding Magic in the Messy Middle. Her answers were super inspiring, real, and unfiltered (so kids wear your ear muffs!).
Some things we talk about…
:: how she responds to a room full of strangers when asked, “so what do you do?”
:: her reason for cutting her dreads (did you know she had them twice?!)
:: why she took a break from the speaking circuit (and her thoughts about FOMO)
:: a couple of different ways she says “no” to opportunities that come her way
:: transitions, rebranding, and her favorite way of connecting with her son (this is a must watch… it’s SO good, and I’ve already added it to my family routine)
I also asked a question that she’s never been asked before and her answer was a good one! You’ll have to watch to find out which one it was. 😉

Check out the interview and let me know what you think in this post. What resonated with you the most? I’d love to hear from you.
